How to Clean Office Blinds
Office blinds.
They keep out bright, direct light, but they trap large amounts of dust and dirt rather quickly. And, if you aren’t cleaning or dusting them frequently, the dust and dirt only builds…which can become a problem, especially for allergy sufferers.
So, how do you clean office blinds? We’re glad you asked!
How to Clean Office Blinds
It’s really simple, actually. It just takes some time and effort, that’s all!
The key, though, is frequency. To prevent large buildups of dirt and dust, you’re going to want to clean your office blinds at least once a week. Here’s how:
Lower the blinds and open them so that the slats are parallel to one another.
Dust the blinds: Using a clean microfiber duster, or a damp microfiber cloth, run the duster or cloth through each slat. You can also use a sock here! Just slip the sock on your hand, spritz with some water, and wipe each slat, top and bottom.
After you remove the dust, spritz a clean microfiber cloth with some all-purpose cleaning spray. Again, wipe the blind slats top and bottom.
Let fully air dry before closing or cinching the blinds up together.
That’s it! That’s how you can dust and clean office blinds. See? It really was that simple.
As for frequency, we recommend dusting your blinds at least once a week, and perform a deep clean (as mentioned above) once a month.
